According to a study done by the Family Acceptance Project, one of the biggest factors that ensures the happiness and well-being of youth is family acceptance. Today, many LGBTQ youth are faced with rejection from their families because of their sexuality. It is important for parents of LGBTQ youth to accept their children for who they are and to become educated about the LGBTQ community so they can be their child’s biggest source of support.
